DAVOS FARM - SUGADAIRA NAGANO JAPAN
Tankaku beef is an ancient Japanese beef variety that makes up less than 1% of all beef in Japan. Among Tankaku beef farmers, only Davos Farmfully grazes its short-horn; less than 0.01% of the whole Tankaku beef production nationwide. The meat quality is similar to that of Western-style prime-grade Angus beef and other grass-fed beef, but has the characteristic fatty taste of Japanese beef much like black beef. It is wonderfully suited for thick steak and roast dishes.
Davos Farm, located on the Sugadaira Plateau at an altitude of 1500 meters, is a farm with a total area of 120 hectares. The Tankaku beef is raised on an organic grass and natural spring water diet only, with no added hormone-regulating agents or antibiotics.
Its delicious taste is of much higher quality and richness compared to general Japanese Black Wagyu beef, which is predominantly raised on grains and in barns.
Davos Farm is a proud supplier to many famous chefs, including Michelin Star awarded chefs around Japan.
